Aaron Askew, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon-Foot & Ankle, Orthopedic Trauma

Dr. Aaron Askew is a native Central Oregonian where he attended Portland State University and received his medical school training at Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his general orthopedic residency training at Creighton University Medical Center in Nebraska, followed by his fellowship training at Methodist Hospital/Orthopedic in Indianapolis.

Dr. Askew is the region’s only orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in both orthopedic trauma and foot & ankle surgery, treating a wide range of traumatic injuries to both upper and lower limbs. Whether a child or advanced age, pro-athlete or beginner, he is motivated to return patients to their optimum health. He finds his work in trauma to be very gratifying, particularly that he is able to step in and help repair a situation that typically feels like a disaster to the patient. He recognizes the importance of a patient’s particular lifestyle needs and is known for incorporating a whole patient approach into his care plans.

Dr. Askew is member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. An avid cyclist, Dr. Askew bikes to work nearly every day of the year. He also very much enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.
