Dr. Brett Gingold received his undergraduate education at Cornell University, majoring in Nutritional Biochemistry. He received his MD from the University of Vermont and completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Gingold subsequently completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in sports medicine with a concentration in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Gingold is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and has published works on ACL injuries and treatment.

Dr. Gingold currently specializes in acute shoulder and knee injuries, with emphasis on soft tissue injuries of the upper and lower extremity. He is available to evaluate and treat a variety of orthopedic conditions in all age groups in both our Redmond and Bend clinics.

Dr. Gingold has been active in Central Oregon’s communities for over ten years, mostly volunteering at Redmond High School where he cares for their students and athletes. He is a consulting physician for the U.S. Ski Team and PRCA rodeo circuit and provides care at local competitive cycling races.

Dr. Gingold enjoys spending time with his family, camping, wakesurfing, cross-fitting, alpine skiing, snowboard carving, writing, and producing musical festivals. His letters-to-the-editor have been published in Time, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, and Ski magazines.
