Robert Shannon, MD
Another native Central Oregonian, Dr. Shannon attended Oregon State University graduating in the top 1% of his class. He then completed his MD at Oregon Health Sciences University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was selected for the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He went on to Syracuse, New York for his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Shannon completed his fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa where he learned advanced techniques in shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement surgery. He has also had extensive experience in knee and hip replacement surgery including complex revisions.
Dr. Shannon is an avid skier and is a physician for the US Ski Team. He has published multiple articles in leading orthopedic journals. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the great outdoors of Central Oregon.
