OUR TEAM
Kathleen Moore, MD
Dr. Kathleen Moore earned her
undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and received her MD from
Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. She completed a general surgery internship
at the University of Utah and a residency with a concentration in low back,
cervical spine and deformity at the Minnesota Spine Center at the University of
Utah.
At Desert Orthopedics, Dr. Moore
specializes in spine issues, including scoliosis. She enjoys that her specialty
allows her to spend a lot of time with her patients, that she often can relieve
patients’ pain, and that many spine issues can be treated non-operatively in
the office.
She is a member of the North
American Spine Society and a spine instructor for the A.O. Spine organization. She
volunteers time to conduct scoliosis screenings in local schools, hoping to
catch many cases while they are still preventable. Dr. Moore also provides
medical support for many local sporting events and competitions.
Dr. Moore is a native of Portland,
Oregon, and has been in Bend since 1996.
She enjoys trail running, road and
mountain cycling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and all kinds of skiing,
usually in the company of her husband and two children.
