Brett Gingold, MD
Dr. Brett Gingold received his
undergraduate education at Cornell University in upstate New York. His medical
training started at the University of Vermont where he received his MD in
surgical care. He completed his internship at the University of Rochester
Medical Center, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Gingold rounded out his medical studies with a fellowship at the University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center in sports medicine with a concentration in
arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery.
Dr. Gingold specializes in acute
shoulder and knee injuries, with emphasis extending to any injury of the arm or
lower extremity. As the only full-time physician at Desert Orthopedics Redmond
office, Dr. Gingold encounters a wide range of patients and the full array of
orthopedic injuries and issues, and enjoys the challenge and rewards of
treating people of all ages.
Since relocating to Central Oregon
in 2003, Dr. Gingold has been an active member of his local and professional communities.
He volunteers his time at Redmond High School, caring for athletes. He is very
active as a physician for the U.S. Ski Team, and also provides event and
post-event coverage for rodeo events and care for high-level competitive
cyclists. Dr. Gingold is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons and a fellow of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine,
and has published works on ACL treatment and repair.
Dr. Gingold enjoys spending time
with his family, camping, wake surfing, road biking, alpine skiing, snowboard
