A native Central Oregonian, Dr. Aaron
Askew attended Portland State University and received his medical school
training at Oregon Health Sciences University. He completed his general
orthopedic residency training at Creighton University Medical Center in
Nebraska, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and foot and ankle
surgery at Methodist Hospital/Orthopedic in Indianapolis.
Dr. Askew specializes in orthopedic
care to the feet and ankles as well as trauma and fractures from head to toe,
excluding spine and brain. He finds his work in trauma to be very gratifying,
particularly that he is able to step in and help repair a situation that
typically feels like a disaster to the patient. He enjoys listening and talking
with his patients and is recognized for his openness to incorporatiing
alternative medicine into patients care plans, including acupuncture and
naturopathy.
Dr. Askew is member of the American
Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle
Society. An avid cyclist, Dr. Askew bikes to work nearly every day of the year.
He also very much enjoys spending time with his wife and five children.
